We’ve been trying to develop working for each other as a team in recent weeks and the group really showed us how much it’s been sinking in. Attackers coming back to support when needed and defenders advancing to support our attacks. We again showed our quality keeping things tight at the back and creating a lot of chances.It’s really pleasing to see how much this group is coming on and those smiles are always on show.7Well done team! They grafted after half time and managed to pull the game back after a few goal line clearences from us and a few great strikes from our lads but far from our usual standard of game play. 🏆 Managers Player - Oscar, a lot more confident today mate, got stuck in and made a few very good decisive passes, a goal line clearance and I felt it was your most confident game to date so well done bud. 🏆 Supporters Player - Rory, great game again today mate, dropped back to help defend, made loads of great tackles and scored a great goal from distance. ✨Sponsors - The wheelman Ltd - Alloy wheel refurbishment Mylson Stoke - Specialist car dealership⚽️ U9 Yellows v Bridgnorth Spartans⚽️Excellent performance today by the Yellows, recovering well from last week’s semi-final performance.A great game overall – superb team performance, and whatever combination was on the pitch, they were effective throughout.There were some excellent goals and strong defending. Some lovely finishes too—the one from Jake was brilliant, and Oscar’s goal from the corner was excellent. Unfortunately, that wasn't how the rest of the game played out with shifnal playing very high and physically against our boys. It was all one way traffic for the whole game. We went in 2 up at half time amd pushed on further in second half to finish 5-0. The only disappointment today was we didn't score more, on another day it could have been double figures. MOTM today was Jess she was quality today and looked a threat all game. They worked hard as a team and should really be proud of their performance.Two great goals from our team and never giving up in both half's with some amazing saves from Harrison in goal made this a match worth playing.You could see the lads were thinking about thir passes and movement on the pitch and supporting each other when in trouble.It's heartbreaking to concede in the last touch of the game especially when they were so strong throughout.Anyway, Jason and I are very proud of the whole team.
